Sungwoong Yang

​Professor Sungwoong Yang earned his bachelor's degree in architectural engineering from Soongsil University and Ph.D from Yonsei University. His research focuses on developing functional materials and analyzing their impact on building system performance, including fire safety, energy efficiency, sustainability, indoor air quality, and green remodeling. After serving as a postdoctoral researcher and research professor at Yonsei University for two years, he joined Sangji University, where he is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Fire Engineering. His recent work explores innovative materials and systems to enhance fire safety performance in buildings and prevent fire spread.
